STR - Knots
July 25, 2006When I went to Stitches West this last spring I got some of the Socks that Rock sock yarn. Tonight I decided to wind it in a ball. The yarn had 7 knots in it and 1 super thin spot. So, my 1 skein of yarn is now 8 balls of yarn. This must be an odd skein of yarn or something. People love this stuff. I decided to email the company and let them know. I will do a bunch of russian joins as I go, so it won’t be too bad.

Having a cold when it is 112 degrees outside is miserable. All I want to do is be by myself with a box of Kleenex. My family doctor was right on the money when he said parents of preschool aged children will get sick 6 times per year. Thank goodness he prescribed me a freak’n gallon of cough syrup at the last one.
I guess that is really all I have to say today.

Wendy, I hope you are feeling better soon. I agree about getting sick more often when you have children. They are not kidding.
Summer colds are the worst - hang in there!
I should learn that Russian join-I’ve had it bookmarked for ages.
I hate when that happens with yarn-cheap or expensive yarn. The TLC Cotton Plus I just used had knots in 4 of the 4 skeins I used. Pain in the ass I tell ya and yes, I wrote to Coats and Clark about it.
Oh man! Bummer about all the knots and the cold! Kids are little petrie dishes, aren’t they? Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Get well soon!
Feel better soon. That is pretty looking yarn, shame about the knots.
That looks like it was a huge skein of yarn - sucky about all those flaws, though. Hope you feel better soon!
Pretty colors! Sorry there are flaws but I am sure you will be able to work it out. Hope your feeling better all the way around~ It sucks to be sick in the summer…
So, what is a Russian join??? Good for you for letting them know. I HATE those knots.
