Candy corn is approximately 3 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
Yarn: LionBrand Microspun (this is what I used…I am sure you can use anything.)
Hook: H (use hook on the label of the yarn you are using.)
With Yellow: Ch. 10.
Round 1: Sc in second ch from hook and each chain across. (8)
Sc 3 times in the side of the starting chain.
Sc on opposite side of starting chain. (8)
Sc 3 time on the side end of the last sc. (okay, note here that you just made an oval.) (22)
Round 2: Sc across 8 sc, inc in next 3 stitches, sc across 8 stitches, increase in last 3 stitches. (28)
Round 3-6: Work these 4 rounds in even sc. (28)
Round 7: Sc across 8, sc2tog next 6 st, sc across 8, sc2tog last 6 st. (22)
Join w/ Orange:
Round 8-9: Sc around evenly. (22)
Round 10: Sc 9, sc2tog, sc 9, sc2tog. (20)
Round 11: Sc8, sc2tog, sc 8, sc2tog. (18)
Round 12: Sc7, sc2tog, sc7, sc2tog. (16)
Round 13: Sc6, sc2tog, sc6, sc2tog. (14)
Join w/ White:
Round 14: Sc around once evenly. (14)
Round 15: Sc 5, sc2tog, sc5, sc2tog. (12)
Round 16: Sc 4, sc2tog, sc4, sc2tog. (10)
Round 17: Sc 3, sc2tog, sc3, sc2tog. (8)
Round 18: Sc2, sc2tog, sc2, sc2tog. (6)
Pull loop on hook to make a long loop, temporarily. This will prevent your stitches being pulled out while you stuff your candy corn. When I did this, the opening was enough to fit my finger. If yours is too tight, back out a round and stop at round 17, your candy corn will still turn out find. Stuff with stuffing. Then, fasten off, leaving a long tail. With blunt needle, sew through stitches at the top of the candy corn, cinching the top closed. Tie off and weave ends inside candy corn.
