Skirted Tank (again)

March 31, 2005

Okay, the first one ended up being a pro-type for this one. I decided to go with a tie back, like Chelle’s halters because after making one realized it is a lot easier to fit. This is of my own design though and the only element that is similar to hers is that it ties in the back. Don’t get me wrong, she is very inspirational. In fact, I bought one of her patterns because I like her designs. I think as crocheters and designers (which one day I can call myself) it is okay to support one another. I have just thrown myself into crocheting head first and really love it.

Maybe tomorrow my daughter will be feeling better and I will get a happier picture of her in it.

Crochet while walking and Random Babble

March 29, 2005

I can crochet while walking. Yes, this revelation could be dangerous in so many ways. But boy, how handy to be able to walk around the college this weekend while my daughter is riding her bike, my husband is pushing the stroller and I am crocheting….Love it! It probably wouldn’t work with Lapghans, as you could trip…ha ha…

Madeleine is teething so bad it is driving me crazy. Why on earth does she need to get in 3 teeth at the same time? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Why, why, why!?!? She is just a crying, runny nose, unhappy, constantly wanting to nurse and bite baby. It is throwing off all of my creative juices (okay, not really,) but it is effecting my sleep.

Sierra is still a little under the weather herself. I have decided I need a long vacation sans children.

On another crocheting note…I have a lot of ideas in my head recently. I don’t quite have the crocheting experience or time to get them out right now. I do expect that everyone will see a lot of new things coming from me by this summer. Boy, I have really been bitten by the crochet bug.

I have been working on Chelle’s Lacy Shells Halter top for Sierra and it works up quick. I have the bottom of it done. I expect I might have this finished by tonight. Sierra has been mad at me that I was making a top for her and then Madeleine ended up wearing it. I am sure this won’t be the last time Sierra’s younger sister “steals” her shirt, ha ha…

Oh…and blogger has been having some hicups today…sometimes very annoying.

A little tip about posting is after each post, hit Ctrl A and highlight all of your text. Then, right click on it and copy it all. If for some reason Blogger messes up while your are trying to publish your post, you can go back and paste your post back in the box and try again. It saves you time from having to rewrite a post or even opening different software to type your post in.
