Squished toe

November 4, 2005

Tony’s huge speaker fell over and landed on Sierra’s big toe today. She cried for awhile. Then, she limped on it. She was still determined to go to school. I gave her some ibuprofen for fear it would swell and hurt her. I put arnica gel on it.

When I picked her up from school, she told me her toe didn’t hurt her. However, it is turning black and blue. Tony says she is too little to break her toe. I would assume if it was broken she couldn’t walk on it. So, just soft tissue injury? I bet when the ibuprofen wears off in a few hours from now it is going to start hurting her again.

  1. Ouch!! Poor baby!!

  2. Poor thing! Hope she feels better.

  3. Ouch! And “too little to break her toe”??? Hello, she has bones just like we do. If anything kids are probably more prone to breaks than adults. Since I am catching up, I’ll have to keep reading to see…

  4. Yeah, well that is Tony’s thinking. I guess he doesn’t realize how many kids break bones. Ha ha. Her toe is fine, now.
