Earthwhisper Fiber Arts came about because I was looking for a name that encompassed all of the fiber related arts that I do, crochet, knitting and spinning.  My name is Wendy and for most of my “internet life” I have gone by the username:  earthwhisper.

I chose that name because for one silly moment I thought is would be fun to shorten my real name to Wind.   Of couse everyone in my family and my friends that that was a crazy idea.  Periodically I do come up with crazy ideas.  My old blog use to be called the crazy crafter because I would stay up to the wee hours of the morning trying to finish some crazy project.  No sane person would continually do that on purpose.

After spending my time on crochet and knitting forums, I have come to find out I am not the only crazy crafter out there.  They must burn the candle at both ends to crank out the glorious finished fiber-y goodness they do.

A friend who I miss so much, years ago told me that if I continued to call myself crazy, I might start to believe it.  This was before I could crochet or knit.  This was when I was a woman of a lot of energy and not a lot of outlets for it.

Well, the wind is like sporadics whispers from the earth.  That is my creative thinking and I have liked it and will continue to use it.  I think adding the Fiber Arts to it encompasses my passion and is a catchy name that I will use for this blog and for possible business ventures.

On this blog you will see my life, pretty raw at times.  Mostly it is about my art, my crocheting and knitting.  Sometimes I blog about my kids or my husband, about school, and other aspects of my life.  If you know me and stumble upon my blog, leave a comment and say “hi.”  If you don’t know me, well read my blog and I think that you will learn a bit about me.
